The Kruuse Rehab Dog Knee Protector is an external brace for dogs hind legs. It is specifically created as an aid to dogs suffering with Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) injuries, Arthritic conditions, Meniscus damage, Dysplasia, Patella problems and Tendinitis. It’s advanced design is intended to assist in stabilising the area by keeping the Stifle joint compressed / secure, with the result that it could, possibly, minimise the need for surgery. When fitted correctly, this Dog Stifle Brace can have a soothing effect, helping to overcome lameness and joint pain / discomfort and, in doing so, may expedite the healing process and aid longer term recovery / treatment (especially post-surgery), which could then allow the dog to quickly regain normal mobility and well being.

The knee protector helps dogs with stifle lameness and joint pain and creates an improved quality of life through surface support. This protector has both an elastic and a stabilising effect. For example when cruciate ligaments are injured, the dog can be fitted with a protector at the time of diagnosis. Thus the dog will not lose as much muscle, if any, before the operation, which would have been the case without a knee protector. The knee protector must be pulled up along the thigh to sit well and remain in place. You can protect the penis of a male dog by running the strap through an old sock.

To apply, stretch the knee protector up on the dog’s leg to cover the dog’s knee area properly. Then take the tape under the stomach and up and over the back and attach it to the knee protector on the outside.

The Kruuse Rehab Dog Knee Protector is available in the following sizes: To measure – measure the circumference of your dogs hind leg around the highest part of the leg in cm’s (around the very top of the thigh area and under the belly / groin area). Please see the additional images for a measuring diagram! You need to fully measure your dog. Using the breeds of dogs to fit guide is only ever an approximate as of course all breeds can vary in size. 

If your dog is inbetween two sizes of knee protectors simply order both sizes and post back the one you do not need. Simply keep the brace like new with all the packaging so we can sell the returned brace as new!
