The Best Friend™ Cribbing Muzzle is a safe, gentle and humane way to help control your horses cribbing / curbing. The muzzle will fit onto a safety breakaway halter.

The Best Friend Cribbing Muzzle attaches to your own leather or breakaway halter with four adjustable hook-and-loop straps. To attach, loop the four straps over the noseband and chinstrap. (The two side straps may be looped through the halter rings for added stability). Leave the metal rings in the down position to allow the muzzle to breakaway. To disable the breakaway feature, slide the metal rings up over the hook-and-loop straps.

The cribbing muzzle allows horses to eat and drink while gently and humanely limiting the damage from a number of undesirable equine behaviours, including, cribbing and / or wood-chewing, chewing blankets, bandages or wounds, chewing other objects, biting other horses, biting themselves or biting people. This muzzle is a much more humane way of managing a crib biting habit, and causes the horses much less stress than a collar.

To Clean: You can extend the life of your muzzle by cleaning it regularly at least once a week. The muzzle is easy to clean. Simply brush off dirt and then hose off or swish in water. Let it air dry.
